Leadership Retreats

Leadership retreats are an opportunity for students to develop their personal leadership skills and build community with other students.

What do we do?

We have exciting teambuilders, adventure, time for relaxation, plus amazing food, cozy lodging, and the chance to get away for a few days sponsored by the Student Involvement and Leadership office.

You can focus and hone your leadership skills, build new relationships with fellow students, and dive deeper into the realm of leadership by exploring who you are and how you can make a difference.

Developing Leaders Retreat- Friday, March 3rd through Sunday, March 5th, 2017

YMCA Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda, CA

2016 Developing Leaders Retreat Group

For sophomores and juniors, this retreat challenges and empowers students for campus leadership. The weekend is open to all sophomore and junior students who will have the chance to reflect and refocus in a relaxed off-campus setting. There will be a series of interactive workshops and activities led by staff and student facilitators.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of participating in the Developing Leaders Retreat, students will:

  1. Explore how leadership is embodied in who they are, rather than in the position they hold.
  2. Expand their view of leadership as a process involving increased self-knowledge, collaboration, and positive Social Change.
  3. Examine how to use their personal abilities and experiences to make a difference in their communities.
  4. Identify and model inclusive leadership behaviors.
  5. Explore their multiple, intersecting, and evolving identities.

Registration is NOW OPEN and will close on Monday, February 27th at 4:30pm or until spots are filled: Click Here!
