Liturgy

We actively seek ways to nurture the liturgical life of the entire college community. Our college liturgies provide a viable witness to the Catholic identity and sacramental life of the college community. The Mission and Ministry Center strives to support the full, conscious, and active participation of all members of the community in our liturgical worship.

Liturgical Ministries

The active role of the College Community in the sacramental and liturgical life of the campus is very important. Our liturgical ministries include: Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Hospitality Ministers, Acolytes, MCs, and Eucharistic Bread Bakers. If you are interested in learning more about our liturgical ministries or joining one, please contact: Fr. Hai Ho (Chaplain) at 925.631.4672 or by email at hmh3@stmarys-ca.edu or Alicia McCallister (Lasallian Peer Mentor for Liturgy & Faith Formation) by email at akm7@stmarys-ca.edu .

Music Ministry

The Chapel Music Ministry provides liturgical music for many of the liturgies on campus, especially the 8:00pm Sunday Mass. The College Community is invited and encouraged to be a part of this very important ministry. The choir and musicians gather in the Chapel on Sundays at 7:00pm to practice for the evening Mass. Musicians and singers interested in knowing more about music ministry or joining should come into the MMC for more information.

Reconciliation

During the academic year the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated Sundays from 7:00 - 7:45 PM in the Chapel and by appointment with Fr. Hai Ho, OFMCap (Chaplain) at 925.631.4672 or by email at hmh3@stmarys-ca.edu and Fr. Tom McElligott who can be reached at 925-631-4297.
