How do I get my ID number and card?

After you turn in your new hire paperwork (I-9, W-4, Direct Deposit, etc.) you ID number will be generated. Once you receive your ID number, you can take you photo at the Business Office in Filippi Hall for your ID card. The Business Office will then contact you when your ID card is ready for pick up. 

How do I get my Saint Mary's email?

Your Saint Mary's email account will also be generated and activated after you turn in your new hire paperwork. You will receive a letter from IT Services containing your email and instructions on how to set up your email account shortly after completing your paperwork.  If you have any problems or questions regarding your email, call the IT Service Desk at x4266.

How do I get a parking permit? How much does a parking permit cost?

Parking permits are free on campus for all staff, faculty, and students. To apply for your free parking permit visit the Public Safety website.

What does it mean to work at a liberal arts college?

St. John Baptist de La Salle, the Founder of the Christian Brothers, a Priest in the Roman Catholic Church, and the Patron Saint of Teachers, promoted a human and Christian education as a means of achieving personal wholeness and a more just society. The dignity of the human person is central to the Catholic and Lasallian traditions of Saint Mary's College.

Will I be able to learn more about the Mission of the College?

The Mission of the College will be discussed during the Quarterly Reception for new employees as well at other event and activities 

Will I get the opportunity to meet a Brother?

Yes! A Brother will be present at the Quarterly Reception meet and greet for new employees. Additionally, the Brothers are involved in many activities and events across campus during the year. 

What is the benefits orientation schedule?

Benefit orientations occur monthly and employees eligible for benefits will be contacted during the beginning of their employment.

What is the payday schedule?

For semi-monthly employees, paydays are the 15th and the last day of each month. For biweekly employees, payday is every other Wednesday. 

What facilities and services are available at the Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center?

How can I enroll for membership at the Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center? How much does a membership cost?

Faculty and Staff can enroll for membership by filling out the Payroll Deduction Form and turning it in to the Human Resource Office. Membership is $20.00 a month, with a $10.00 deduction each paycheck. More instructions and information regarding memberships, enrollment, and fees can be found here.
